Founded in 2003 "AtaHolding" Open Joint Stock Company makes investments in different fields of economic activity, manages financial and intellectual resources and acts in compliance with corporate governance. The authorized capital of “AtaHolding” is  83,9  mln. AZN and these resources are directed mainly into financial, IT, industry, service and  tourism fields. Financial sector is presented by “AtaBank” OJSC, “AtaInsurance” OJSC, “AtaLeasing” OJSC; tourism sector is presented by "AtaTravel", “AtaTourism”, 5 star “ Excelsior Hotel Baku”;industry sector is presented  by "AtaIndustry"; and IT sector is presented by “AtaTechnology”.

The share capital of OJSC Bank VTB (Azerbaijan) is divided between the Russian holder, OJSC VTB Bank (51% of shares) and the Azerbaijani holder – OJSC “AtaHolding” (48,99%) and an individual(0,01%).

Activities of all enterprises within "AtaHolding" group of companies are built on the principles of high professionalism, application of new technologies and corporate governance. In 2006 management system of "AtaHolding" was certified by the international company "Bureau Veritas" in accordance with ISO 9001: 2008 standards. Audit of  financial statements of  “AtaHolding” OJSC and its enterprises is being held by International

Audit company since 2007. Consolidation report of the holding was prepared according to the International Financial Reporting Standards and audited by International Audit company.

The purpose of the holding is to support Azerbaijan’s welfare and economic development by effective use Azerbaijan’s physical and intellectual resources, by investing into creation of new jobs, ensuring customer satisfaction and protecting interests of shareholders and employees. "AtaHolding" closely participates in social programs, charity events, supports projects on development of culture, art and increasing the level of education. On November 19, 2008 "AtaHolding" joined UN's Global Act on Social Responsibility.

Since 2007 “AtaHolding” OJSC has been sponsoring the International Hockey Federation and since June 28, 2008 is a general sponsor of the International Wrestling Federation.
